Superintendent
Employment type: Full-time

The Ringemann Plumbing Inc. Superintendent oversees and directs approximately 25 personnel for the installation of plumbing from rough out to top out.  The Superintendent must be able to supervise projects from conception to completion; participate planning and reviewing projects in-depth to schedule deliverables and help estimate costs; oversee all onsite and offsite construction (pre-fab) operations; monitor compliance with building, codes, transportation, and environmental, and safety regulations.  The Superintendent must demonstrate a solid background in the field.  Key qualifiers will reflect leadership skills and extensive experience directing the work of others and making quick decisions when necessary.  Training and certifications should demonstrate full knowledge and ability to implement job site safety.

 

The Superintendent must be able to communicate effectively through verbal and basic written means and coordinate daily and weekly milestones with management and administrative staff.  The Superintendent is highly visible and must demonstrate ethical conduct and leadership through actions and deeds to all personnel.

Salaried rate negotiable dependent on experience and education.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans

  • Assist producing schedules and directly monitor and account for crew attendance

  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills

  • Ability to communicate and report effectively

  • Supervise and train workers

  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate

  • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met

  • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment

  • Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget

  • Resolve problems when they arise

  • Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.

  • Proven foreman/supervisory experience

  • Oversee all onsite and offsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations

  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines

  • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints

  • Ability to layout ground rough, and top out stages of custom residential and commercial plumbing projects

  • Aptitude in math

  • Ability to develop flat isometric drawings.

  • Must be bilingual.

Additional Qualifications:

  • County or State Plumbing License holder

  • Backflow Preventer Certification

  • Able to perform at a high level of proficiency under pressure to meet deadlines

  • Works well with a diverse group of people

  • Strong work ethic and moral character

  • Strong written and verbal communicative skills

  • Ability to communicate and plan with management

  • Must meet and maintain Ringemann Plumbing Inc. minimum insurance requirements

  • This position requires a successful completion of a drug screening

  • This position requires a successful MVR check

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Able to legally work in the United States

  • Maintain a professional relationship with the general contractor, engineers, and inspectors to

  • facilitate job progress and to promote a positive company image
